Public Workshop Update and New Survey

February may be the shortest month of the year, but that doesn't mean the Point of the Mountain visioning process is slowing down. The first two Point of the Mountain Public Workshops were held on February 15th and 16th and were a huge success! Thank you so much to everyone who came out and shared their ideas and concerns.

If you weren't able to make it out to one of the public workshops, we've developed a new survey based on the workshop contents. Taking this survey will ensure that your voice is heard as we develop a range of scenarios for the Point of the Mountain's future, using input from the public, from stakeholders, and from experts in fields including transportation, environmental planning, infrastructure, community design, and more.

Point of the Mountain Public Workshops

In mid-February, we will be holding two initial public workshops to engage residents who live in the Point of the Mountain area. This will help inform the process as we get their input and feedback in person. These workshops are open to everyone.

The workshops will be held at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium on February 15 and in the Ashton Gardens visitor center at Thanksgiving Point on February 16. Each will run from 6 to 7:30 pm and will be free of charge. Participants will spend the ninety minutes answering survey questions and offering their ideas on maps.

Please attend and share your vision! Public participation is critical to the planning effort.

First Point of the Mountain Small Group Meetings

During the Point of the Mountain Stakeholder Kickoff, we had stakeholders sign up for different small groups that fit their areas of expertise to help guide the discussion on different topics that are crucial to the future of the region. We are now holding the first small stakeholder group meetings to begin to understand the considerations that must be taken into account throughout the whole Point of the Mountain visioning process.

If you feel you have expertise in any of the following areas and are able to join us for one or more of these meetings, please contact Stacy Bergener at sbergener@envisionutah.org to RSVP and to receive additional information.
